TPO 29-Integrated writing

In this set materials, the reading passage state that some edmonsaurs were migrated from Alaska to a warmer place, and brings 3 reasons for this claim. On the other hand, the listening section brings into question the reading by providing different reasons (and examples).

First of all, the reading passage indicates that the edmontosaurs had a special diet and they fed exclusively on planets; therefore, for finding this plant they had to migrate. In contrast, the lecturer opposes this view by mentioning that in the past, the summer was warmer than today, and in the warmer climate most plants could grow. Also, in the past, the sunshine that receives into the earth was more than today. As the result, the plants could grow in the summer; therefore, they had a lot of dead plants for winter as a food. Hence, they did not need to migrate.

Secondly, the reading passage argues that the edmontosaur lived in the herb for migration like some animals such as carbiou and buffalo; conversely, what the lecturer state is different. She points that this animal lived in herb for providing extra protection from predators not for migration. Considering elk for instance. Elks live in herb for better protect the number of the group members and they did not need to migrate.

Finally, according to the reading passage the edmontosaurs had had high-speed for migration, they had to migrate about 1600 kilometers to arrived in the south. However, the lecturer believes that the edmontosaur had children. The children could not run as fast as young animals; also, the younger animals would not leave the children and went to the south, because the children would not protect themselves and lived alone
