First of all, the author points out that the diet of edmontosaur endorse their migration. It is mentioned that they fed plants and there were no plants germinate on that time. This point is challenged by the lecturer. She says that they did not migrate for food. Furthermore, she argues that there had been a sunshine for 24 hours in day and also it had been a warm place. So plants and vegetation could grow on the arctic region.
Secondly, the author contends that this dinosaur lived in herd. The article notes that moving in herds create a situation which animals coordinate their migration. The lecturer rebuts this argument. She believes that they live in herd for another reasons. She elaborates on this by mentioning that living in herd provide a great opportunity by which they gain extra protection and is it useful for them.
Finally, the author states that they had an ability with which they could migrate long distances. The lecturer, on the other hand, posits that juveniles were not capable of living alone. She puts forth the idea that their child could not survive. So this dinosaur did not migrate.
