In this set of materials, the reading passage discusses that the coins that found in North America not actually related to the Europian people but it was placed with someone to the confusing and misleading archeologist. While the professor in the listening casts doubts on what is presented in the text and believes that a lot of archaeologists beliefs that this evidence is not fake and there is a evidence that substantiated relationship of this coins with European people.
First of all, in the text, it is clearly mentioned that the coin was found in the place that very far from another site that documented that Norse people presented. However, the professor claims that it is completely possible that people travel great distances for trade and came back and these people had this ability to do this travel.
In addition, the professor disagrees with this idea that because of no other coin has not been found in the Canadian sites so it is shown that this coin is not good evidence. She says that it is not necessary to pack up and placed it on the Canadian site. It is possible that they pike up it and after that came back it by themselves.
Finally, yet importantly, in the text, it is stated that the native American people did not use from the European coins so the presence of the silver coin in this area is incredible. The professor subscribes that it is possible that this coins had had another used for this native people, for example, it was attractive for them because of stunning and beautiful and the Norse people used it because of its beauty for trade with native people.
