The article discusses pterosaurs, who could able to power flight or only able to glide. The author provides three arguments against powered flight and supports each of them. However, the lecturer states that pterosaurs may capable of powered and opposes each of the author's reasons.
First of all, the reading claims that pterosaurs could have cold-blooded, which means that they were unable to produce energy and this energy helped to fly. On the contrary, the professor refutes that pterosaurs' fossil indicates that they have dense covering like as warm-blooded animals, which helps them to maintain the increase the blood circulation in severe clod environment. Therefore, he thinks that pterosaurs were to able to fly.
Second, the author asserts that pterosaurs could not be capable to flap their wings for a long time because they might have heavyweight like as giraffe. In contrast, the speaker says that anatomical features help them to fly. They have hollow bone instead of solid bone, which allow them to reduce the weight. That means, pterosaurs could able to flap their wings fast enough.
Finally, the writer declares that the powered flight animals can take off from the ground. Conversely, the professor opposing this point by saying that there is a difference between bird and pterosaurs. The bird can use their hind limbs and legs for walking on the ground and pterosaurs has using 4 limbs to use on the ground. He also mentions that modern flying uses their 4 legs. They do not use back one only, push 4 legs as well. That's why the lecturer says that scientific studies showed that pterosaurs are not only run fast but can also jump high into the air.
