The frog population nowadays declining at very fast, in order to protect that species the reading and the speaker discussing the issues in contrast ways.
Firstly, reading passage says that strict regulation on pesticide uses will be beneficial if they implementing the affected areas so that we can reduce the declining of frog population. But, the lecture refutes this point by saying that if, strict regulation passes then it cause economical and practical problems for the former those who there in that particular land when compare to other former.
Secondly, reading passage states that using anti fungal and the heat treatment may helps to stop decline of frog population because when it gets infected then cause the damages to the skin. Skin is important organ for frog to maintain the respiration but when it damages then start dehydrate and eventually dies. Again, speaker refuses this point by stating that treating individual frog with anti fungal medicine for large scale population is practically impossible, further, their eggs also must be treated with same treatment.
Thirdly, reading passage argues that human activities like draining the water from resources for the development causes the declining of the frogs because this species need wet land habitats in order survive. Still, the professor opposes this point by explaining that human activities are not exact causes for the declining but also the global warming is main factor for reduction wet land inhabits.
To sum up, the reading passage states that the strict pesticide regulation, anti fungal treatment and controlling human activities may helps to stop the declining the frogs but the professor refuses all these mentioned in the reading passage with logical arguments.
