The reading exposes some ideas to control or prevent the decrease in numbers of many frog species. However, the professor cast doubt that information.
First, the lecturer explains that reducing the use of pesticides do not work. In fact it's economic unfair. For instance, small farmers that live nearby frog habitats will be sevearely prejudeced. To contradict, the reading states that with laws to forbid the farmers to use pesticides in their crops it would predude the death of frogs.
Second, the professor says that the use of medication to treat fungus diseases in frogs would not be practical. Each frog or especies are affected differentily by the fungus and need a individual treatment. In addition the desease will continue to be passed though generations and the treatment would never comes to an end.
Third, according to the professor the real problem in frog's habitat is related to global warming and not to the decline of their natural habitats by human activities, as described in the reading.
