TPO25-an archeologists finding
The lecture and the passage discuss the usage of an ancient vessel which has been found recently. Although the passage claim that the founded vessels is not used for generate electricity, the speaker refutes this idea through a number of reasons which will be described in this report.
First and foremost, the passage points out that the vessels should be attached to some metal wire to generate electricity and the further excavations do not found any wires, the spekaer, in contrast, rejects this by claiming that these vessels have been found by local people who did not familiar with the importance of the artifacts. Therefore, they might throw out the other ancient things they had found due to the fact that they might not recogonize the usage and the signifigance of them.
Furthermore, unlike the passage which states that the cylinder inside the clay jars is as the same as the Seleucia cylinder which has been discovered before and it was exploited to holding the scrolls, the speaker argues that it is possible that this copper cylinder were used to holding scrolls but the irons that have been found near the jars indicate that they were used to generate electricity.
Finally, although the passage says that generating electricity was useless for the ancient people due to the reason that they did not have a device to use the generated electriciy, the professor disagrees by mentioning that those ancient people used this generated electricity to prove an evidence of their magical powers. He also mentions that on those ancient time, people used this electricity for the purpose of the healing since the electricity can stimulate the muscules.
Through the reasons which have been described above, the passage claims are rejected by the professor.
