The reading passage and lecture have conflicting opinions about who was the author of a mysterious old book which was discovered in 1912. The article strongly postulates that there are three possible authors of this book. On the other hand, the listening adamantly delineates that none of them is the real author of this great manuscript.<br>First and foremost, according to the professor in the lecture, this books contains thousands of secret codes which no one can explain it. Furthermore, Anthony was an ordinary physician who had not such deep-knowledge to create this script. Moreover, Antony's herb was just the common plant mentioned in other medical books. Therefore, there was no evidence to believe that he was its author. Nonetheless, the article offsets these points by declaring that this book might have used as a scientific or magical purpose because there were several high possibilities to believe it. For example, Anthony Ascham who was physician and botanist that illustrated some plants which were very identical with those of ancient book. <br>On top of this, the lecturer further asserts that there was no chance that the author was Edward Kelley who was a fraud that sells fake magical books to wealthy people. To be more specific he did not need to put a lot of hard work on this book to deceive people because the people in sixteen century were naive about such things. In other words, he only wanted to earn money so there was no possibility he was the author. These claims refute the writer's implications about Kelly created this book to sell to rich people and he produced alphabet which was exactly random order. <br>Lastly, the speaker in the lecture suggests that this book's author was not Wilfrid because its ink and page were created in the twelveth century. In other words, Wilfrid could not obtain such rare old ink from his century. Nevertheless, the author counters these implications by insisting that this script was produced by Wilfrid M. Voynich who had enough knowledge to create such masterpiece's fake one. Also, he sold this copy to people who offered enough money to him.
