In the set of materials, the reading passage argue about mass extinction that occur 200 million years ago and provides some explanation about reasons that causes to this mass extinction. The listening passage talks about the same issue but adding some new explanation to retort the author climes.

The reading passage provide three explanations about the causes of mass extinction. The first theory is the decline of sea levels and cause to destroy the habitats of the ocean population that lived in the shallow water and coast. The second theory is massive climate cooling, the volcanic activity at that time produce so2 that cause to lowering the global temperature. The last theory is hitting the asteroid strike that causes to release the amount of soil and crushed rock that blocked the sunlight. finally, all the theory’s caused to massive extinction.

The listening passage say’s that, none of the theory’s that explained in the reading passage aren’t convincing. In the first theory all the coast and shallow waters habitats adopted to live in the land, therefore the first idea of reading the passage in proved unconvincing. the second so2 can combine in ocean water, so the writer’s second idea is rebutted. finally, in that time don’t dated any asteroid hitting with the earth. Thus, reliably retorted the last argument in the reading passage.

To sum it all by taking all the detail into consideration the reading passage information can’t explain the mass extinction’s cusses. And the argument in the reading passage isn’t convincing
