The Table below shows the results of a survey that asked 6800 Scottish adults (aged 16 years and over) whether they had taken part in different cultural activities in the past 12 months.

The table illustrates the participation of different age groups of adults in various cultural activities in a sample group of 6800 scottish over one-year period. It can be seen that the popularity of the activities varies widely between age groups.
In performance category , those aged 16-24 have the hieghst proportion at 35%. 22% belongs to those 25-44 years of age and then, there are 45-74 year-olds with 17%. Intrests in undertaking a craft move in tandem with age, as 11%, 17% and 22% are reported for sequential age groups. Aproximately, the same trend is followed in cultural purchases.
16-25 year-old people again constitute the hieghst population in visual arts with 30%. Then, by far there is 25-44 age group with the percentage of 16% and, at the third place, there are those who aged 45-74.The decreasing trend occurs about writing and computer based skills, too.
Overall,the most popular activity among all groups is performance (including dancing,singing,playing musical instruments and acting) with 22% and the least participation belongs to computer based category just after the writing.
