The given pie chart describes the annual expenditure of a school in UK in 1981, 1991 and 2001. It can be clearly seen that the maximum amount was spent on teachers’ salaries and minimum on insurance.
In 1981the amount spent on teachers’ salaries was 40% which increased by 10% in 1991 and again decreased to 45% in the year 2001. Similar fluctuation was observed in the expenditure of resources which increased from 15% in 1981 to 20% in 1991 and again decreased to 9% in 2001%. The spending on furniture was 15% in 1981 which decreased by 10% till 1991 and again rose to 23% in 2001. The percentage expenditure on other workers’ salaries showed a constant decreasing trend of 28% in 1981, 22% in 1991 and 15% in 2001. On the other hand the spending on insurance increases gradually over the years from 2% in 1981 to 8% in 2001.
To sum up it can be concluded that the total spending on salaries was always more than all other expenses.
