According to the reading passage, cane toad is native to Central and South America. The people of the Australia thought that they are useful for their crops by eating harmful insects; however, after a while, they made some serious problems for the farmers in the Australia which they lead the farmers to find a way to get rid of the cane toad. To begin with, the first way was using fans to prevent toads from moving to another places; also, the fences were useful in controlling another kind of harmful species, which it is known as rabbit. In addition, the second way of the solution was using traps, which are available widely, and capture the toads by hand. Moreover, Australian government organized some group of native people to find and capture the toads by trap or hand. Finally, the third solution was using the viruses to control the toads' population; also, mentioned viruses have no bad effect on other kind of animals.
According to the listening passage, the professor was no agree with the reading passage. First of all, she said that the fences are not going to work because this kind of animal mostly lives in the water streams. She, moreover, said that the traps and capturing is not an efficient way and will be harmful for another animals. Finally, she said that viruses may be able to travel to Central and South America, and, as a result, become harmful for the mentioned regions' ecosystem.
Overall, the mentioned idea in the listening passage disagreed the mentioned idea in the reading passage.
