The chart below shows the amount of money per week spent on fast foods on Britain. The graph shows the trends in consumption of fast foods.
On the basis of income the society has been divided into three groups. These are high income, average income and low income. The chart shows the amount spend on fast foods by each group. On the other hand, the graph depicts the trend in consumption of fast food from 1970 to 1990.
Hamburgers are mostly preferred by high income and average income groups with individual expense of 42 pence and 33 pence per week respectively. Low income spend only 12 pence for hamburgers.
Fish and chips are more liked by average income group with expenditure of 25 pence per person per week. For high income and low income expenditure are 17 pence and 18 pence respectively.
Pizza is considered an item for high income group as they spend highest amount of 19 pence per week. It is least liked by low income group as people spend only 8 pence a week for this. Average income people spend about 12 pence a week.
Graphs shows a very sharp increase in the demand for hamburgers from 90 grammes in 1970 to more than 500 grammes in 1990. For pizza the increase rate is moderate as it goes from 40 grammes to 290 grammes and for fish and chips demand decreases from 300 grammes to 230 grammes.
