The newspaper article announces that the university is going to send daily emails to the students about campus activities, news and events. The woman thinks that this is a great idea and brings up two reasons. First, she states that newspaper is not the most up to date resource for news because it is published only once a week. However, daily emails would be very helpful. For example, if there is a concert or play on a specific day, daily emails can be a reminder or if the performance is cancelled on the last minute, emails save your time and you do not need to go to the performance place. Moreover, nowadays everybody checks his email at least once a day and students will read the emails definitely, especially if the menu of the cafeteria is included in the emails as well.
