The graph illustrates the proportion of travellers to England came to various destinations in Brighton during 1980-2010 period.
As an overall, the percentage of visitors in Pavilion and Pier witnessed increasing trends, while that of tourists to Art Gallery and Festival decreased over 30-year period.
In 1980, the number of travellers in Pavilion accounted for about 23% of the total. This figure inclined significantly, before it reached a peak at just under 50% in 1995. There is then a fall in the portion of Pavilion visitors to 35% in 2000, and approximately 30% in 2010. Meanwhile, only 10% of tourists visited Pier in 1980, following by a growth to just above 20% at the end of the period, despite fluctuations.
Over the same period, the segment of people visited Festival experienced a slight drop from exactly 30% to roughly 27%. In 1980, the figure for visitors to the Art Gallery was 21%. After peaking at 38% in 1985, this percentage fell remarkably to just under 20% in 1990. The proportion saw a slow decrease and finished the whole period at 8%.
