The two pie charts compare the primary reasons why people chose to travel and leave the UK in the year 2007. Overall what stands out from the charts are that the majority of people left and travelled the UK seeking for an employment.
Having a definite job accounted for 30% for the purpose of immigrations, and this figure was very similar for emigrations also at 29%. The majority of people at 22% left the country inoder to find a new job, while less than a one fifth entered the UK looking for employments. Another major factor influencing people to immigrating the UK was joining the family members which stood at 15%. And the percentage was slightly higher for emigrating the country.
Although only a minority of people 6% entered the UK for no reasons but the proportions rose three times to 18% for people leaving the country. While there was dramatic rise in the percentage of people moving to the UK for the study purposes, the numbers declined markedly to 4% for the same purpose in case of emigrations. However, 'other' reason was quite similar at 11% and 14% for immigrations and emigrations respectively.
