In life, we learn many things through both experience and books. Generally, books give us fundamental knowledge about a topic and we strengthen what we have learned from books through experience. Therefore, I believe that both experience and books are equally important way of learning.

When it comes to physical activities such as driving, swimming, riding a bicycle and playing sports, learning from experience is much better than from a book because it is difficult to get an idea how our body work just from reading book. We need to experience and practice them, and also sometimes making mistake is necessary. Let's take an example of driving. First, one need to learn how a car functions and remember all the road signs of meaning. After that, they need to go on a road to practice. Without behind-the-wheel experience, on one can drive. In this case, leaning from experience is significantly important. The same goes to riding bicycle and playing all kinds of sports.

On the other hand, when we want to learn academic subjects such as math, science, history and language, learning from a book is much better because it saves our time. Books are great source of importation and reading books is the best and fastest way to gain knowledge. Besides, if we want to learn about a foreign country, books represent the best summery of the country. Visiting a foreign country requires not only ample time but also a lot of money.

In conclusion, the best way to learn something related to physical activities is from experience, whereas the best way to learn academic subject or broaden general knowledge is from reading books. We all should think what the best way to learn would be before taking action.
