University education is a period when young people commit themselves to an area of study, in preparation for their future. These students are usually given an option whether or not to attend classes. It is often argued by some that university education is important for a successful life, whereas there are few others who do not agree with this point. Both these points of view will be analyzed.

University education lays a foundation for the carrer of a person and this can be seen in the increased maturity of a university graduate. An illustration of this can be the doctors, scientist or nuclear physicist. One cannot imagine becoming a doctor without a proper professional education and without proper education or skills, the personnel would be called a quack, which can put the patient’s life in danger. Thus, it is important that proper education is obtained to gain professional skills.

There are some who argue that university education is not mandatory to be successful in life. This can be supported to some extent when we consider examples of ‘Michael Dell’, ‘Steve Jobs’, ‘Dhirubhai Ambani’ who did not manage university education but yet were successful in the areas of business they worked. They are considered as leaders with inborn leadership qualities. This shows that one can become successful even without university education.

In conclusion, it is interesting to see how some are successful with university education and some without. I believe university education is essential which enhances the skills in the Chosen career by students. There are only a few who have the gift of becoming successful and effective leaders without completion their education. However, for most of us University education trims us and shapes us into becoming successful.
