Educational institutions have a responsibility to dissuade students from pursuing fields of study in which they are unlikely to succeed.
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the claim. In developing and supporting your position, be sure to address the most compelling reasons and/or examples that could be used to challenge your position.
I believe that Educational institutions should not have a responsibility to dissuade students from pursuing fields of study in which they are unlikely to succeed, because we can not impose our decisions on students. Every student has particular area of interest in which he wants to conquer the world, beginning towards his proclivity can be startled initially but later his persistent and relentless hard work can surmount all walls which barred him to to enter that area of interest. Suppose that barrier if he encountered in school, instead of motivation or encouragement if we dissuade him to succumb then it will have fiasco effects. I will justify my reasoning by taking two examples into consideration which will explicitly declaim my endorsement for counter statement.
whatever happens in school does not mean that it will ever stay. For instance, take example of albert einstein which is known for his work in physics. In school he was one of retard and fatuous student who failed maxim of subjects and had eccentric behavior. But most of us does not know these thing but we know we he achieved after school and college. He published breakthrough theories in physics which implied him to win NOBLE PRIZE which is not prattle thing to do. Winning NOBLE PRIZE is one of the prestigious thing in world. If we apply that statement in this context then it will show aversion towards statement and propensity towards counter statement. If Educational institutions dissuaded him to succumb from pursuing fields of study in which he was unlikely to succeed then we would not be having theories like theory of relativity which deals with speed of light. In history of physics no one have dealt with speed of light as einstein did because dealing with speed of light was one of convoluted and entangled subject but einstein achieved it because he trusted himself that he is capable of doing it even he is failing in school subjects because it does not determine his fate.
What we learn in school is nothing than beginning towards our goal. If we accept it as our fate then we will be prevaricated from our urge to do something which is till not done. For instance, take example of henry ford who built ford corporation one of successful and prestigious emblem in world. His life was not exception to counter statement. From his school time he had interest in automobiles and he was interested about inventing FORD MOTORS. If we see it from our prospective then it will be bizzare for us because thing no one till did he wants to do. But he is recognized in world because of his FORD MOTORS that he developed and made him one of the affluent person in world.
So these examples of albert einstein and henry ford may be they were weak and failed school examinations but both are known in the world because of their courage to go for thing in which they even failed to achieve so which implies that Educational institutions should motivate and encourage student to pursue his field of interest, not act like an hurdle to dissuade him that he is not capable of achieving it. If this would have been true then we will not having most things that we are enjoying right now because they were made by people like einstein and henry ford.
