Increasing the price of petrol is the best way to solve growing traffic and pollution problems. To what extent do you agree or disagree? What other measures do you think might be effective?
As is commonly understood today, pollution of the air and traffic jams on the road are the main problems all around the world. As time goes, people are concerned more and more about these global problems. Individuals are trying to find solutions for them.
People consider to think, that increasing the petrol price will help them to get rid of the situation that requires a solution. Moreover, they believe that, this is the best way to solve it.
From my point of view, I strongly disagree with the statement above. Because, surge in petrol price will lead to declaration of a strike among society. Furthermore, people will split up into two types of groups. Namely, those , who can and cannot afford buying the petrol. As a result, only rich people will drive a car and poorer ones will have hatefulness for them.
When looking at this, there is no doubt that increase in price of the petrol is not the best way to solve problems related with air pollution and traffic jams.
After analyzing all the causes of increasing the petrol price, I am absolutely convinced that, there should be other various effective solutions .Take charging the roads as in many European countries, for instance. It is obvious when looking at this example, that these countries have got less pollution of the air and traffic on the roads. From this it can be concluded that, charging the roads is the most effective way to solve air pollution and traffic problems.
