In ancient days, it is believed that signs were used to communicate and then the languages emerged. There are many hundreds of languages now, some have just are dialectic and some are lost due to their non-usage. English has been abundantly used in all the fields and global communication. All multinational companies in order to advance in the corporate world should require its employees to learn many languages. By learning many languages, will have great impact on the company in terms of communication; they can solve problems easily and experience other cultures.
The multinational company suggests that the company has ties with many nations .There are many languages involved in communication. The company when hiring employees may need to see that they hire people who know languages in which the company has ties with or they should be given sufficient training to learn such languages. The communications is very essential, when solving problems and to have mutual understanding to do business. For example, countries like China, Japan use their language more often than English like other countries. It would be better for the companies having ties with China and Japan to know their language for communication or the company has to search a translator and more often there are problems arising due to communication gaps, in order to avoid it would be advisable to know their language. Learning many languages will give more opportunity to the company to thrive well among others.
The languages depict the culture of their society. So by learning their language employees can better understand the culture. In most countries their culture and traditions are more valued and with that knowledge by the employees of the multi-national company they have better chance to do good business with other nations and advance in corporation.
Learning languages is not an easy task some may argue. Usually languages are learnt when we are young when our brains are developing and it is impossible to learn new languages and moreover will not have any impact on thriving well in the corporation. English is the Universal language used by all the countries and therefore other languages are not required. English has been used by many countries for global communication and mainly due to the colonization of English in the past century. Well, all the countries do not have English as there national language and there is more chance for multinational company to thrive well if they know there culture and their language.
By learning many languages the multinational company can have good communication with other companies at other nations and solve problems easily. It also gives an opportunity to experience and understand their culture. The multinational company has to require it employees to learn many languages in order to thrive well in corporate world.
