First, the reading passage describes that with the growth population of Britain, most of the precious artifacts remain uncovered. While professor rejects it by mentioning that based on the new guidelines, the companies before the construction, should examine the sites, so that if there are the historic values, archaeologists with the corporation of those companies should built and plan to preserve the site.
Second, based on the reading, the financial supports behalf of the government are decreased and they are not adequate for doing research on historic sides. On contrary, the lecture explains that archeologists should be paid by the construction companies rather than the government. In this case, the financial supports will be more to preserve the sites rather than before.
Finlay, the reading mentions that careers of the archeologist are limited. While professor rejects it and adds that under the new guideline, experts have vast variety of jobs such as examination site, preservation, researches, and process data for writing reports. Therefore, the work positions of the archeologists are increased.
