Museums

The bar chart illustrates the popularity of three museums from the years 2000 to 2005.
In overall, the museums studied were visited by at least 6 million people annually, but their growth patterns vary. For instance, the MET attracted 12 million tourists in the year 2000, but their number halved the following year. Then a steady recovery started and initial numbers were reached in 2004. In 2005, MET was visited by more than 14 million people.
Edo’s Museum busiest years were the first two recorded, when it welcomed 13 million people annualy. Then, Edo faced a sharp decline in its popularity, marking its low at 6.1 million in 2003. Though, the museum started to recover its popularity, but it was 3 million short of its record. National Museum in Beijing demonstrated a steady increase in popularity during the entire timeframe by increasing its numbers from just above 6.1 million to 15 million in five years.
Generally speaking, it can be seen that the National museum in China has the biggest prospects of staying the most popular of the three.
