your school has enough money to purchase wither computers for students or books for the library. Which should your school choose to buy?
Universities are responsible to spend money for materials, which students need for studying. Although, a vast majority of people may think universities should invest the much of money to purchase books, but from my vantage point buying computers is more beneficial than buying books. Through the following paragraphs I will substantiate my claim.
First and foremost, acceding to computers is equivalent to having Internet. As we all know Internet is a source of knowledge and information that no tools or techniques could compete with it. If university enterprises its money on books, it wont be able to buy all kinds of books and substantially having confined to have all kinds of various books could be a big obstacle for students’ researches. On the contrary, by Internet we could almost have all books, magazines, journals, and databases from all over the world in any kind of major. Todays there are plenty sites on the web, which students could connect to them and utilize all materials of them. Taking me as an instance, when I was a master student, for one of my projects my classmate recommended me to use the library books. After squandering much time, eventually I could not find a proper book for my research. Finally, I had to surf Internet and interestingly with a little search, I could find numerous eBooks related to my work. I worked on a few of them and the result of my project became very perfect, as my professor was very impressed by that. He decided to support my research and send it to conference. Therefore, considering this experience, I have realized that for every research surfing the Internet is the best way.
The other imperative facet that make me advocate of computer or Internet rather than book is communication. Students could interact with other scientist and eminent people who know a lot in their fields of research. Through this connection they would debate and struggle on many scientific topics with congenial people on similar research interest and enhance their ability of negotiation regardless of how far they are. What’s more, they can be informed of recent studies so that precluding them to do repetitive research. Furthermore, they can devote their time and energy on unprecedented topics in their fields of research.
In summary, taking all aforementioned illustration into account, it could be concluded that spending money on providing computer rather than buying books is sagacious and admittedly has noticeable effects on universities’ researches quality that is of paramount duty of students and of vital goal of university.
