26.09.2017 Last month you had a holiday overseas where you stayed with some friends.
They have just sent you some photos of your holiday.
Write a letter to your friends. In your letter.
Thank them for the photos and for the holiday
Explain why you didn’t write earlier
Invite them to come and stay with you.
Dear John and Sarah,
I am writing to thank you for young hospitality and help.
To begin with, I want to thank you for showing me your city, your knowledge of landmarks and interesting places has made the holiday so remarkable and joyful. Moreover, I have just downloaded all the photos you sent to me; the quality of the picture is marvelous, you both have an incredible talent in taking photos and Sarah's novel camera makes everything looks better.
Also, I deeply apologize for not writing you earlier. The main reason for the delay is that my luggage was mistakenly sent to Moscow instead of Los Angeles. So, I had been waiting for my baggage for almost twenty-four hours till my bags arrived in LA. Moreover, when I arrived at the home, I learned that my landlord had forgotten to pay bills for electricity; thus, I lived for a while without this essential convenience.
Finally, I invite you to visit me this summer. By the time you arrive, I will have prepared a nice and thoughtful plan how to entertain you. Of course, you needn’t rent a flat of a hotel room because I rent a spacious apartment and you in my place as long as you wish.
I am waiting for your prompt response
Sincerely yours,
Eugen Dubinchuk
