The table chart illustrate the number of potatoes is produced and consumed in 5 areas, namely Africa, North America, Europe, Asia, South and Central America in 2006.
It can be seen clearly that European bought the highest number of potatoes and African bought lowest. In the second table, Asia is the place where made most potatoes; meanwhile, South and Central America have the amount of potatoes to be made lowest.
Above 96 kg per person is the consumption of potatoes in Europe, 38 kg more than in North America and sixth as much as in Africa, about 14 kg per person. In the second table, Asia produced 131.2 million tonnes in 2006. It was the highest number in 5 areas, 5 million tonnes more than Europe, at 126.3 million tonnes. In the contrast, South and Central America have the lowest number of potatoes to be made, about 15,6 million tonnes.
