Write a letter to invite a famous person to give a speech at a meeting in you youth club. In your letter, you should:
• introduce your club
• explain why you want to invite him/her
• tell him/her about the arrangement for the meeting
Dear Mr. Smith
I am writing this letter to invite you to deliver a speech on the Annual day of the Sunshine youth club on the behalf of all the members of the club.
Youth club named Sunshine not only aimed for the welfare of youngsters but also contributes in collecting donations for needy people for example, physically disabled, for care of old age, for the education of orphan children. Beside that we organise various social activities from time to time. On this Annual day, our club is raising funds for disabled people and on this auspicious occasion, you are the right personality to give a speech as you have denoted millions of dollars for the poor people. That is why, you will be an inspiration to the youth by encouraging them to donate more.
The meeting is organised on next Sunday that is 5th of June. Your speech will start at 1 p.m. and last for half an hour. We will make all the arrangements to pick you up and drop at your residential place.
Please manage to get some of your time for this event. I am looking forward to your response.
Yours Sincerely
John Thompson
