The graph below shows the average calorie intake per person in eight countries in 2003.
Given is the chart providing statistical information about the amount of consumed calorie by residents of certain countries, namely, the USA, India, New Zealand, Somalia, China, Spain, Mexico and Indonesia in 2003. We can immediately see that, the USA and New Zealand stood out with high consumption rates whilst the figures for Indonesia and Somali were considerably lower.
According to the chart it is clear-cut that, the USA ranked the first with around 3450 calories and was marginally ahead of New Zealand which showed 3350 calories. Furthermore, average calorie intake in Spain and Mexico was almost identical, accounting for 2500 calories.
When it comes to China and India it can be clearly observed that, both indicated approximately 2000 calories in 2003. The quantity of calories was below 2000 in two countries- Somalia and Indonesia which was 1900 and 1700 accordingly.
All in all, the depicted chart suggests that, compared to other indicated countries, in Somalia and in Indonesia the indicators were quite worrying.
