You are studying for a qualification, and you would like some time off work to complete it.
Write a letter to your manager. In your letter:
· Ask for some time off to complete a qualification.
· Suggest what you will do later at work if you have time off.
· Say how the qualification helps your job or company.
Dear Mr. Brown,
I am writing to you in regards to apply for leave in order to study for the exams for my post-qualification.
As you know, I am attending the evening classes for post graduate degree in construction management, I am eager to complete my studies this year. This is my last semester and I would not be able to continue my studies because my enrollment will be cancelled after this semester according to the university’s policy. I have been working nine hours a day, six days a week and it has been very difficult to cope up with exams along with the job. I would request you to grant me five days leave the next week so that I would be in a better position to prepare myself for the upcoming exams.
When I will be back from the post-graduation assessments, I would be able to concentrate more on my work and would try to give extra time to meet my deadlines in project deliverables. This degree will definitely help the company also to boost its management expertise so my achievement will be worthwhile for the company as well.
Looking forward to receive your response.
Regards
Huma Mohiuddin
