Family education varies greatly. In some families, they are inclined to ask their child follow their advice why talking about choosing a job, because they have faith in their own choice. But others, may just give their child freedom to choose whatever they like. The two different kinds of education may have extremely distinguished effects on their offspring. I personally agree with the later education method.
For one thing, interest is the best teacher. To give their child freedom when choosing a job is quiet positive compared force them follow the parence's orientation, which is so-called passive method. Under the positive method, the child would like to gain enough motivation based on their personal learning needs from their inner heart. Hence they can get into the working environment quickly, and search for help whenever they come across the difficulties, never give up. There is no doubt that they can make the improvement step by step. However, with the passive method, they have to be pushed to move forward, since they lack the inner willpower to support them on this way. Once the push disappear, they would go backwards. For instance, if the parents force their child, who prefer to literature teaching, to doctor. Definitely, the child can hardly find it attracting, even he or she becoming a doctor as last, I bet that he or she cannot gain happiness from the job and may even loose the confidence to life no matter how much money he or she has gained from it.
For another, the mutiple jobs would devote to the diversity of the family topic. We can easily imagine what will happen in a single job family, all of the family members work on the same field. Their topics are confined in this area, saying , if they are all teaching physics, most of their topics must connect to the physics. When they comfront a problem, they are just able to percive it in the same way, as the effect of the single knowledge. On the contrary, if all of the members work in the different field, for example, the mother work as a musician, the father is a doctor, then their child become a banker. They would share tremendous message of their field with each other, all of them can benefit to the broad topic, and even they are possible to create new invention by combining the different fields. When someone got a headache, the doctor can deal with the problem; when they are stressed, the musician mother can play the music to help them; and the child are good at using their saving to invest.
Admittedly, the children can accept many suggestions from their parents if follow their job, but they can also find help from their teachers or coworkers which in turns foser their independence. All in all, I would strongly rommond the parents just free their force on the child when decide their working field. Just let them go, it is possible that they would have a great performance beyond your expectation.
