Although this might be true in some cases, but i am inclined to have a different opinion on the issue at hand.

It is every artist's dream to be at the pinnacle of his art and be appreciated world wide. It is inappropriate that proper credit is not given to a musician just by the fear of the fact that it might be his fame overpowering his talent. What good are the awards being given to a musician after his/her demise? I am of the view that true talent must be identified and rewarded during his/her own era rather than waiting for a substantial amount of time for an assessment as suggested in the except.

Moreover, there is a risk that there might emerge another talent in the near future that could completely obscure the previous musicians talents and hence lead to an unrealistic judgement depriving him for appropriate praise he/she is worthy for.
