You work a part-time job in a company and the company posted an advert seeking a person for a full-time position. Write a letter to your manager requesting to apply for the advertised position. In your letter say
– Why do you want to apply?
– What are your future goals?
– Why would it be beneficial for the company?
Dear mr. Collins,
Having seen your advertisement on the Head Hunter website , I would like to apply for the full-time position of an economist.
I have been working as an accountant for our company for the last 2 years. Currently I do part-time job because I am on maternity leave. However, next week my child will start attending kindergarten, so I will be able to work 8 hours a day. That’s why I would like to apply for this vacancy.
I have 3 years of working experience as a financial analyst and, in the coming years, I plan to continue working in this field. I would be happy to have an opportunity to proceed with my employment in the company in a new position, so I would be able contribute all my knowledge and experience to the full extend.
I’m completely qualified for the job: I have a Bachelor degree in Economics and relevant working experience as I mentioned above. I am familiar with the tasks mentioned in the vacancy, therefore I am ready to perform the duties right from the start, no instructions needed. Moreover, having the experience as an accountant, I can mentor a new employee who would take up my position if I acquire the appointment of an economist.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Joanna Smith.
