1.Apologize for damaging the product.
2.explain how it happened.
3.say how are you going to fix it.
Dear Susan
I hope you are doing good today. Its been couple of weeks since I borrowed your car. It is so nice of you for helping me out when I had to take an emergency ride to a different state. My uncle who is admitted to the hospital is now out of danger. I wouldn’t have been able to make it to hospital at late night if you had not helped me with your car. I am thankful for your help.
I am very sorry to tell you that there are some scratches on your car door. I noticed the scratches this morning when I had to start to the hospital. This happened in the apartment parking lot as there were no scratches when I parked the car last night after returning from the hospital. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find the person who hit your car as the car was in the visitors parking. The damage is minor where the paint of the other car has stuck to your car along with loss of your car paint in some places.
I am fully aware that we cannot claim that unknown person insurance. Hence, I take full responsibility of this incident and fix your car to its original condition. I will be back to your place tomorrow noon and will take your car to the mechanic and get the damages fixed by myself.
Best Regards
Bill
