Given is the map comparing two possible locations for a new urban shopping complex in terms of the distance to distinct areas and main transport route.
It is noticeable from the information provided that the shopping center A is likely to be in the residential zone while the countryside will be chosen for the shopping center B’s position. And both constructions are easily accessed by different means of transportation.
Looking at the location of Shopping mall A, it is designed to mainly meet the demand of the suburb’s citizens as it is situated in the center of the town, close to the Business district. There is a close distance between this mall and the Industrial zone in the eastern of the map. Additionally, it is particularly convenient to reach this mall by cars as it is next to the main road.
Regarding the other likely position, shopping B is planned to be situated far away from the downtown, in the rural area. However, it is in the vicinity of the other town, which is 15km from this town’s district. Interestingly, train passengers find it closer to get there as no traffic is allowed in the central district.
