The bar chart compares the expenditure of alcohol and drugs in the years between 1975 and 1992. It is clear that the spending on alcohol was always higher than drugs during the period that showed. Both alcohol and drugs were the highest consumption in 1982 comparing with other years.
We can see that the best-selling year of alcohol is 1982, reaching its peak at $186. While another peak on drugs is also in 1982,only sold $102. Comparing the money spent on alcohol in 1975 was 146, along with year of 1977 in $140,drugs decreased to $35 and $40 significantly, but with no position change between drugs and alcohol in 1977.
It is undoubted that the second best-selling year for them was 1992, the spending of alcohol was 148, and $96 for drugs. What's more, 1985 saw the smallest change compared to other 4 years, only dropped from 148 to 98 billion dollars.
