Given are two maps illustration the alteration of a public garden when it opened and today. According to the plans, it can be said that the overall size and shape of the area haven’t changed during approximately a century, while recreational facilities have seen a huge development.
In 1920, a fountain was located at the heart of the park. These days, nonetheless, it gives its place to a square-shaped garden which is surrounded by four seats coming from other parts of the park. Two entrances have been located on the northern and southern of the park providing access to Arnold and Eldon streets since the construction of the place. A third entrance for cars has been added in the lower level. At the first, there were three rose gardens and a stage to the east, but now the stages is replaced by an amphitheater, one of the rose gardens gives its place to a café, and the other one is demolished. A play area and a water feature are in the vicinity of the café rather than the previous pond and glass house.
Overall. It can be said that although the shape and size of the park have remained intact, the function of recreational equipment has changed significantly during the period mentioned.
