TPO 48 In recent years, many frog species around the world have declined in numbers or even gone extinct due to changes in their environment. These population declines and extinctions have serious consequences for the ecosystems in which frogs live; for e
Actually, both the passage and the lecture comment about the extinctions of some types of frogs and the decrease of the number of other frogs which causes many deleterious consequences. Although the passage brings three theories for diminishing some negative points that lead frogs to encounter such issues, the lecturer puts those hypothesizes under question. According to the professor's statement, none of the suggested methods are practical enough.
First of all, as illustrated by the article, enacting legislation in order to eliminate the pesticides which are used by farmers to omit the pest of the farms' plants. Distribution such pesticides in surrounding lands where frogs settled, adversely influence frogs’ life span. The orator; however, refutes the expression by emphasizing the fact that this rule isn't economically fair because many farmers, who their lands locate adjacent frogs’ houses, will lose their income and revenue.
Second, as declared in the writing, deadly funguses which have dispersed in all four corners of the world should be treated so as to improve the dehydration problem of frogs. Nonetheless, the speaker rebuts the claim by stating the thought that not only is it an expensive solution but it also is so sophisticated that can't be done for each individual frogs. He elaborates on this claim that it needs to continue for the next generations as well.
Finally, the penman indicates that for preserving the natural habitats especially lakes and marshes, where frogs’ eggs are conserved and grown, from human's negative effects, people should be restricted. Although the professor believes that it is an appropriate idea, he dismisses the idea by adding the fact that the most significant factor that threatens the environment is global warming. Hence, this way isn't counted as a useful suggestion.
