Schools should prioritize the academic subjects which are helpful to their student’s future careers and thus should pay less attention to subjects like arts and sports. What is your opinion?
There is considerable debated as to whether to concentrate on academic subjects or to attract attention other extracurricular subjects like arts, musics, and sports. it has long been competed in recent years and has no conclusive conclusion .
From children’s parents perspective, they think that children should commit themselves to academic subjects for future employability. if they focus more on academic subjects they will have superior performance in assessment tests or they can get scholarship when they excel in maths, english and they will find high-paying careers. In contrast, taking on extracurricular as music programs that may hinder student’s study. take some teenagers such as, they take on lots of activities as musics, arts program and they neglect their study to practice, As a result, they get bad score from their teacher. In addition, music programs pose a huge budget concerns and the cost quickly add up because when studying music they must spend money affording for musical instruments. it wastes a great deal of finance so it unaligned with children from socio-economic backgrounds. that’s reason why parents want their children to focus solely on academy.
However, some in favour of taking parts in less important subject like music, sports that students can improve their psychology, physical. when they enroll in sports, they can keep away from negative influences :addicted computer, less do exercise and instill healthy habit to bring better health. if they have better physic, psychology, as a result they can have well performance in academic subjects. In addition, through music, they feel embrace others culture. For example, when student study about abroad music: ,uk they can boost their knowledge about this country or how human-beings affected to music industry.
To sum up I suppose that students should balance between academic and arts, sports program. they also do well in maths, sciences and sometimes they need to take on extracurricular activities to shake off stress or depression.
