Reading fiction (such as novels and short stories) is more enjoyable than watching movies. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your position.
One of the most controversial issues of today's world is to find time to do what you love. Some people often like reading books such as novels and short stories are much more enjoyable than watching movies on television while others feel that watching movies is more interactive and pleasurable. I go by the former and I will be discussing arguments in favor of my stance.
First and foremost, I believe that reading is one of the best things in this world. This is because when you read, you get to know a lot more about different cultures, opinions and author's styles. Reading fiction and other genres take you into the journey of the writer's or actor's life and you tend to feel lost into it. One gets to know a lot more other details too about different characters portrayed in these books. For instance, The Harry Potter book series is a lot more enjoyable than the movie as per the recent entertainment surveys.
Another pivotal aspect for me feeling more convinced about reading that watching on television is that it adds up to excellent reading skills and vocabulary. This is the main reason kids are recommended to read short stories before going to bed. Additionally, movies are quite more short and crisp than books. Watching a two or three-hour movie does not give deep insights into the characters and mysteries shown into it. People for some reason find fiction books the best travel partner too.
To recapitulate, with the help of above-mentioned arguments, it is certainly true that reading is a lot more interesting way to relax and enjoy fiction. This trend is going to be increasing in future too.
