The presented table compares 5 age groups of a certain region in terms of their male and female cyclist proportions in 2011.
Overall, it is evident that the youngest categories had the highest preference for cycling. In addition, riding bicycle was more favorable among women rather than men in all age groups.
Turning into detail, remarkable differences between two sexes were witnessed in the figure for two age groups. Specifically, in comparison to girls aging from 10 to 24, 42.2% of who cycled, the percentage for their male counterpart was significantly lower, with 24.6%. Likewise, in 25-39 sector, the figure for women was also approximately 2 times higher than that of men, with 17.1% and 9.7%, respectively.
