The charts give information about the percentage of different happiness of people from various age groups (here we surveyed people under 30 and above 30). Overall, people from both age groups have some similar happiness. However, there are some striking differences.
First, we look at the similarities. According to the survey’s results, both younger and older people saying factor which brings happiness is achievement at work, nearly one third of each group say so. Another similarity is doing hobbies, which occupy about 22% in the under 30 group and for those who are older than 30, this proportion is nearly one fourth.
As we look at the differences, it is noticeable that people under 30 regards having a good appearance as an important factor, as it makes almost one fifth of younger than 30 people happy, while 20% of people older than 30 want financial security. Accounting for a 3% lower rate than having a good appearance, traveling constitute around 15%, whereas, 14% of people above 30 prefer being with family.
To summarise, in spite of having similarities and differences, the proportions of having achievement at work and doing hobbies as happiness are surprisingly marginal between younger people and older people.
