WRITING TASK 1
The line graph provides information about percentage of regional household recycling in the UK, France, and Germany from the year 2005 to 2015.
Overall, the recycling rates of UK and Germany showed an upward trend while the percentage of recycling of France showed a downward trend.
In 2005, German recycled 20% of their household product compared to the British whose recycling was well under 40%. The British rate showed an increase and reached 40% in 2007 and remained steady up until 2009. After 2009, the British has a significant increase in the waste management and reached about 55% in 2011. It continued to increase its waste management and hit the maximum point in 2015 and that was 60%. On the contrary, German recycling rate increased in positive way and reached about 45% in 2011. It’s rate continued to surge and hit the highest point of about 56% in 2015.
In 2005, the French recycling was 50% which was declining and reached around 35% in 2009. It’s declined continued in the following years and reached the lowest point in 2013 which was 30%. After that, the French tried to increase its recycling but it could not reach 40% after the end of the period
