The bar graph illustrates the proportion of males and females aged from 15 to 65 years and over doing physical exercise on a regular basis in Australia in 2010.
Overall, there are six age-groups where all women were as much active as men, but for 15-24 age-group, the reverse was true.
To begin, nearly 49% of women involved in physical training in their 25-34 years compared to men with just over 42%. Similarly, over a half of middle-aged Australian women kept active lifestyle. Interestingly, there was the highest percentage of active women aged 35-54, 52.5%, 53.3%, and 53%, respectively. However, the figures for the-same-aged men ranged from 39% to 45%. Nevertheless, there was a slight difference in share of women and men doing physical activity, 47.1% and 46.7% in turn. On the other hand, among young adults aged between 15 and 24 year olds, a slight more men (52.8%) were active than women (47.7%).
