Some people think that all teenagers should be required to do unpaid work in their free time to help their local community. They believe this would benefit both the individual teenagers and society as a whole. Do you agree or disagree ?
Some people believe that the young generation should spend their leisure time in giving a hand to their local area. Although I agree with this view, I contend this kind of support are not compulsory.
On the one hand, bringing happiness to other can lead to some positive outcomes to us. Firstly, when young people help their local citizens, they find themselves helpful and valuable. They will be missed by their devotion not only at that time but also many years later. Secondly, during cooperating process with others, the teenagers will be more confident in communication as well as gain much more experience. Finally, in lieu of wasting their free time in boring status, young people can immerse themselves in community environment with a view of creating their own values.
On the other hand, contrast to the reasons above, I believe that the young people should not be obligated to do unpaid work in their free time by the virtue of their study. Their schools and institutes always assign tons of homework and exercises. Studying at school almost is the whole day, so they need to make use of their leisure time for relaxation. They can do sports or hang out with their friends in order to release accumulated stress. Free time activities play crucial role in recharging the batteries of young people. Therefore, they should not be offended to waste their time in doing costless job. In addition, helping domestic people should be a volunteer work, not a compulsory task. The will find it is a heavy burden and they are slaves for their own community.
In conclusion, it is beneficial to support the young 's own local people, but it should not be unpaid and compulsory.
