Given the diagram which sets out information about the making process of canning pears. At first glance, it is readily obvious that it takes 14 steps to transform fresh pears on trees to be canned pears in delivery.
The process commences when the fruits are picked by hand in the orchids. After being transported and undergo the washing process, workers in the factory check their quality whether there is any bruise on the fruit. Right then, the pears are kept in a 0-celsius degree environment, which is known as the cold-storing. After being cooled, the next stage is when they are weighed and graded on a scale. When all the above-mentioned steps are done, people begin to peel and slice pears to get their skins and seeds removed. Afterward, they move on to the next tread which is canning the fruit in metal cans and later sealing the can via sealing machines. But they cannot be eaten yet as they are about to go through a cooking/ sterilizing process. Ultimately, cans are labeled, stored ad go on despatch to the customers.
To sum up, transforming pears to canned pears is a long and effort-taking process. Moreover, its 14 steps in the making of canned pears are done by both human labor and machines.
