These days, mobile phones and the internet are very important to the ways in which people relate to one another socially.
Do the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?
In this modern world, technology is playing a significant role by benefiting human beings in every possible way. Internet and cell phones are the forms of technological advancements, and are providing maximum advantages to the masses. The merits of this development outnumbered its demerits, which will be discussed in the subsequent paragraphs.
There are myriads of methods that are used by people while connecting with their near and dear ones. Primarily, the use of mobile phones for communication that is for nationally and internationally, and on top of that availability of low calling rates via using the internet. As a result, the majority of individuals are able to afford calling to their kith and kins, who are sitting in foreign countries. For example, by using applications such as WhatsApp, Skype and Instagram one can connect with others through video as well voice calling whenever they want.
Secondarily, this development is helping individuals and providing them a wide range of information around the world. In this way, they are more likely to connect with the outer world by knowing more about them. To exemplify, these days most of the society is reading newspapers on their mobile phones.
The Sinister side, it is generally believed that the excess usage of phones and the Internet is harmful for the generation. As it leads to various health problems that having poor eyesight is one of them. In addition, it also increases the sedentary lifestyle of a person, leaving no time for the other physical activities.
In conclusion, undeniably there are some drawbacks but the positive has outweighed them. Also, the individuals should manage their time schedule, while using these technologies and should utilise them for more.
