The graph below shows annual cinema admissions by age in the UK

Illustrated in the line graph is information concerning the annual range of cinema attendances, split by age groups in Great Britain over the period of 12 years (1997-2009).
Overall, while the number of adolescents going to movie theaters witnessed a plateau, people aged 25-34 underwent a decline in terms of cinema admissions, and a rise was recorded in those from 35 to over 45 throughout the given timeframe.
Appropos 15-24 year-old figure, the rate of moviegoers witnessed a marginal decrease in the first one year, followed by a five-year period of stability at around 55-60 million people. This category then experienced a relative fluctuation from 2004 to 2007, before going back to the starting point of approximately 60 million by 2009.
Starting at 40 million in 1997, the number of cinema attendances who aged between 25 and 34 stayed constant until the period 2002-2004 when it was exactly the peak period for moviegoers from 25 to 34. Unfortunately, this figure showed a plunge in 2005 and levelled off at about 30 million. Both 35-44 age group and over-45 one began at 20 million of film watchers. While the former reached a peak of 10 million by 2002 before slightly declining and standing at 25 million in 2009, an intense upsurge to around 40 million was recorded in the latter, which helped to change its position with the rate of 35-44 year-old moviegoers at the end of the surveyed period.
