Essay topics:

the percentage of money yearly spent on a nation in UK school in 1981 and 1991 and the expectation for the year 2021

The three pie charts depict the percentage of money yearly spent on a nation in UK school in 1981 and 1991 and the expectation for the year 2021.

In general, most of the school expenditure was used for salaries of teachers and this is expected to continue to dominate in the year 2021, while other sources of spending experienced some changes.

In 1981, wages for teachers accounted for the greatest proportion of total education expenditure at 40%, while the figure for wages for other works was fairly lower, at 28%. Both resources and furniture and equipment made up the same proportion at 15%, followed by insurance at 2%.

In the next decade, there was a slight growth in both the percentage of school spending on salaries of teachers and materials, at 50% and 20% respectively. In contrast, the school paid slightly fewer other workers, at 22%, while this figure and equipment dropped considerably to 5% and insurance made up the remaining 3% of total.

2021 experienced a minimal decrease to 45% in the percentage of educational expenditure for teachers’ salaries, whereas the figure for material books and other workers’ salaries declined significantly to just under 10% and 15% respectively. By contrast, furniture and equipment saw a considerable increase to 23%. Similarly, the smallest proportion of school spending, insurance, also experienced a slight growth to 8% in the same year.
