The graph shows the actual and predicted percentage change in employment in the UK, by education level.
The line chart illustrates the change in employment level in the UK from 1990 to current year (2021) and the predicted percentage in the future (now – 2025).
Overall, this graph was made according to four stages from no school qualification to master’s degree. As you can see in the chart, recruitments for people who hold valuable degree tend to be in a higher rate comparing with that for people with low qualification or even no certificate.
From 1990 to now (2021), it is clear that there has been a generally increase in the level of employment for graduates and postgraduates by approximately 10% and nearly 30%, respectively. Meanwhile, job opportunities for undergraduates in the UK have been declined by around 5 – 10 percent.
In the future, the trend of four groups is predicted that they will be in their direction but in a magnified status. The trends of bachelor’s degree and master’s degree sectors are likely to go up and reach a peak at 35% for the level of postgraduates’ employment. As the same way, opportunities to seek a job for people having no school certificate will keep going down by more 5% in 2025. However, there will be a slight growth up in the percentage of employment of people graduating high school in 2025 by about 5%.
