Some people believe that a person's culture is defined by their country of origin, while others believe that has only a minor influence. Give your opinion.
As we define culture is a combination of beliefs, values, and the expression of those, one’s origin is undeniably a factor to an individual’s culture. The true question is “To what extent, does a person’s home country have impacts on their culture?”. And by addressing this question, I will dig into both sides of the argument.
It is not groundless to believe that a person hometown has a great impact on their awareness of culture. Since we were a child, we absorbed everything around us: the language, the cuisine, the religion,… Such information shaped our culture and identity at a very young age, and those factors are not come from a person or a family itself, but from a community called country. For example, if a person were born in Vietnam, they would be familiar with a family-oriented attitude and a more diverse cuisine with full of vegetable when compare to other individual that came from another country.
On the other hand, the explosion of internet is a major force to form a person’s culture nowadays. People now are exposed to a variety of entertaining products and information from all over the world because of the omnipresence of internet. Thereafter, an individual’s culture in the present is more diverse. Additionally, the popular of displacementism are pushing people to travel more then their ancestors. Hence, their knowledge about the world would be widen through every trip, leading to a subjection to new influences.
At the end of the day, one’s country of origin does affect on his culture. However, the more they explore, the more they merge in with other cultures. This multi-culture movement performs as a key point to shape a new generation that wiser and more modest everyda
